Linear Motor has been more and more widely applied in transportation field because of safety and dependability in recent years. Permanent magnet brushless DC linear motor has developed mainstream of driving motor. The subject of this thesis is to study characteristris of permanent magnet brushless DC linear motor and major works in the thesis are summaried as follow:(1) Hall sensor is used as the acquisition of position singles and AT89C2051 single-clip microcontroller is used as the controller for system.(2) Analysis magnet field is realized by Maxwell 2D on finite-element of electromagnetic field analysis. Inductance of coil as well as electromagnetic force was calculated by means of it.(3) A mathematical simulation model for dynamic characteristics of BLDCLM is obtained and by means of measure ,the parameters of the motor on inductance of coil is obtained.(4) Dynamic characteristics of motor is simulated by Maxwell 2D Transinet .
