Research On The Design Of The City Walking Environment

City walking environment is the essential element of city image and city landscape,and the significant carrier of street culture,embodying the rich connotation of the city culture in it.lt is the combination of natural landscape and historical culture ,which was provided with the space peculiarity of explicit orientation and the strong permeation.lt also is considered as the mingle-mangle public open space of the natural ecosystem and the artifical construction system.The reasonable walking environment design is a very important means of improving city environment ,creating distinguishing city feature, improving the environment quality and molding city image .Seen from the planning angle ,urban design of the dissertation adopts a systematic method on the several significant aspects of walking environment design for the further investigating and researching on the basis of a lot of domestic and abroad datums,in addition to investigating many cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Suzhou, Putian ,Weifang and so forth,to discuss the key points and methods of walking environment design according with the present condition of our country.First of all,the dissertation analyses the present situation of walking environment,and describes the development and evolution of the foreign city walking space.After analyzing and summarizing the experience lesson and character of them,we can illustrate the theme by elaborating the practice of walking space development in China and putting forward the existent problems of city walking environment.The key points and methods of walking space environment design were discussed on three main aspects on the basis of grasping the fundamental principle of city walking space.The main aspects as follows :1 Summing up the space characteristics of walking environment andstressing the relation between human being and walking environments as well as the cities inducing the design conception of it in order to supply the foundation for creating humanity and temperament and distinguishing feature .2 Researching the description of walking space landscape environment from both the rigid and soft character of landscape to reach the conclude of the design essentials according to all the constituting elements.3 Putting forward the essentials and methods of design for the stereoscopic humanistic and no-obstruction of the walking space,and analyzing several concrete cases.
