The TiOa films were prepared on glasses by magnetron sputtering in this paper, in order to study the photocatalytic properties in details and accurately, the photocatalytic dynamics of some organic substances were analyzed, and the PL spectra of TiO2 power was also studied. For the improvement of photocatalytic properties, the photocatalytic mechanic was studied from a new method and some more important factors influencing the photocatalytic properties was analyzed.The photocatalytic dynamics of two important and representative organic substances -methylene blue and methylene orange. Those two organic substances could be directly degraded without TiO2 by UV lamp. The type of reaction belonged to typical first-degree reaction. The type of photocatalytic reaction was first-degree reaction which was not very typical, and the reaction speed constants could be used to judge the efficiency of photocatalysis.The TiO2 films were prepared on glasses by magnetron sputtering. The influences on the TiO2 films properties of various O2 partial pressure, various sputtering power, various heat treatment method and N was studied too. The XRD showed that the crystalline of samples prepared in various O2 partial pressure and various sputtering power was amorphous, the anatase crystalline formed when heat treatment temperature was above 450℃, and heat treatment temperature was higher, the crystalline was better. SEM showed that the crystal grams formed on the surface of films when the O2 partial pressure was high; the obvious and big grains appeared hi the surface with improvement of heat treatment temperature. XPS showed that there were much chemical absorbing water on the Ti2 film surface which mainly existed in form of -OH, and the contents of -OH was increasing with the annealing temperature. Hydrophilic property became better with the annealing temperature; the essential relation between the changing of contact angle and light-induced-electrons and light-induced-cavities was studied in details. The photocatalysis of samples without heat treatment was very bad, but that of samples after heat treatment was much better. For N-doped TiO2, the forbidden band was divided into two's, and the cut-off wavelength and the application of solar energy was increased too.UV-vis and PL spectra were used to study the energy band structure and theholding states of light-induced-electrons of TiO2 powder and films prepared by magnetron sputtering.The energy band structure and light-induce-electrons holding states were studied by PL spectra, conduction band and impurity energy levels were emerged together and formed a new continuum band. Then light-induced-electrons were not only on conduction band but on the continuum band, mainly between 2.65-3.0eV. The electrons whose levels state was below O2/O2 had not deoxidizing ability, it was the electrons whose level state was above 02/02 that contributed to the photocatalysis, this conclusion was also proved by experiments. The TiO2 films belonged to indirect semiconductor, the forbidden band is wider because quantum size and B-M excursion effect. Oxygen defects formed Voo/Vo and Vo/V energy levels that were 0.25eV and 0.64 eV below the conduction band respectively . The light-induced-electrons were mainly on conduction band, Voo/Vo and Vo/V energy level. The electrons under 02/02 were not useful to photocatalysis. The defects energy levels intensity became smaller, the electrons on the conduction band became more and photocatalysis became better with the heat treatment temperature, the similar conclusion was drawn from experiments.In order to increasing the photocatalysis of TiO2-glass, The essence, character and influential factors of TiO2 photocatalysis were analyzed firstly. The essence of photocatalysis should be the conversion and storage of solar energy. The character of photocatalytic should be electron transformation.
