A Combined Diesel And Diesel (CODAD) power plant physical simulation experimental system is introduced here. Based on it, a simulation model is set up with software packet, MATLAB/Simulink, after that simulation and experiment research is proceeded to find out the control tactics of the CODAD power plant.The model is established with the method of "top to bottom" and modularization. The whole system model is made up of diesel (together with electronic governor), gear box^ load and controller sub models with I/O interface. Based on it, simulations under kinds of working conditions are proceeded, providing some reference for later experiment research. Saving physical use and being convenient for the change of experiment schemes and model parameters, It's a economical and effective method for research; In experiment stage factors that will affect the load distribution of CODAD are analyzed first, and then after preparation and trouble-shooting for the experimental system, experiments are carried out to verify the function of model and working condition change. According to the experiment results, more work is done to make the model perfect and then comes out a final simulation result. The control tactics for working condition change of the CODAD experimental system is presented also, and a new gear box design with great advantage is introduced after optimizing work.Simulation and experiment work of this paper is of great significance for the development of new CODAD power plant, as well as for the design of the sample machine of our country.
