Nuclear power as a clean energy, is one of several important ways of our power generation in the future. Moreover, according to "the long-term nuclear power development plan(2011-2020)" agreed by the State Council executive meeting, proportion of the nuclear power generating capacity in the total generating capacity will gradually increase in the future. This makes China’s nuclear power plant combined in the Grid is imperative. Under the premise of security, the grid-connected AGC(Automatic Generation Control) operation of the nuclear power plant will inevitably bring new challenges to the load following capability and the control system of the nuclear power plant of our country. For the control problems of the PWR nuclear power plant when it’s running in AGC variable condition, this paper researches on the performance improvement of core power control and takes the average temperature of the coolant control as method. The main contents include the following sections in order:1) For the Load tracking problems of the grid-connected AGC operation of the PWR nuclear power plant, this paper proposes principled scheme of the coordinated control of the Grid variable load operation PWR nuclear power plant. By studying on the operation mode, Steady-state operation program and the control system of the PWR nuclear power plant, this paper builds a load tracking coordinated control system and analyses its mechanism. Based on this parts of study, it’s propose to improve the load following capability by enhance the effect of the core’s nuclear power control.2) For the requirements of the core nuclear power’s fast tracking with the turbine load, this paper proposes the use of predictive control algorithm for the controlling of the core nuclear power. By establishing the nonparametric model of the R stick and the average temperature of the coolant, and Building predictive control system in the MATLAB, the core nuclear power control and simulate has been studied. The simulation result shows that, under the premise of ensuring safety, predictive control algorithm is beneficial to the track of the turbine load for core nuclear power control. And the response speed is faster.3) For the nonlinearity of the PWR core system running at variable condition, this paper proposes a multi-model predictive control algorithm. It’s a combination of a small area linear of nonlinear system theory and predictive control algorithm. By the study of PWR core nuclear power control and simulation with this algorithm, the results show that this algorithm makes the core of nuclear power fast-track the turbine load changes when the PWR nuclear power plant is running in variable condition.
