Due to influence of many factors as the tiny fault current and the relatively heavy interference and the complex fault condition and running function, the single line-to-ground fault location in the non-direct-ground system is rather difficult. Together with the problems of technique , the poor management leads to the failure use of detector. In order to find the reason of the failure and make a clearly recognize on the essence of the single line-to-ground fault, we bring forward the thought of setting up the system of management. The system involves the module of fault record, detect on line and remote remaintenance. The techniques of fault record and detect on line have a wide use in the direct-ground system. Fault record is the only method to recognize the fault essence. By realizing them in software, we improve the feasibility of the system.Double-layer management can provide the justice to the user and the provider. In order to fit all the kinds of the detector, we design two methods of communication: one uses the software of Pcanywhere which has good performance of serial communication and can be used easily, the other uses the protocol of Zmodem and be accomplished on my own.Method of wavelet analysis is proved and fingerprint are proposed accoding to the data of the fault record. The method of wavelet analysis has achieved good effect in practise because of the abundance of transients and its character. Based on the sample, fingerprint method detect the fault line by mode identify. We also achieve other useful conclusions such as the distribution of the maintain time of the fault, the complex form of fault, the safe way of calculate the grounding current, etc.
