Nowadays, fault location instruments for single-phase-to-earth fault badly perform in the non-direct-ground neutral system. In order to solve this problem, this paper presents a new solution based on the TMS320VC33 DSP which also meets the wavelet algorithm requirement on the hardware system. The realization principle, the hardware architecture and its operating results are introduced in the context. Compared with the conventional MCU, the DSP owns superior digital signal processing function and high calculating speed. These advantages make the synthetical intellective algorithm possible to be fast processed in time. The operation results show that this soft-hardware platform has a fast calculation speed, disturbances-proof ability and a good running record. This solution proves to be an ideal earth-fault selection platform for its high performance-price ratio. Li Peng(Electric Power System and Automation)Directed by prof. Yang Yi Han...
