| Heat pipe is one of the most efficient devices to transfer heat, and has been widely used all over the world. The origin of heat pipe, the history of its development, its working theory and fundamental performance, the theories of heat pipe, especially of thermosyphon, and the selection principles of working fluid are introduced in this paper.On the basis of experiment about quartz glass thermosyphon, performance of thermosyphon to transfer heat is analyzed .Temperature in evaporator section, adiabatic section and condenser section of glass-water and glass-ZGM heat pipes are measured as the time went on. The factors which influence the performance of thermosyphon are discussed. The techniques to manufacture the copper thermosyphon are probed. Two kinds of solar water-heater system with heat pipes are designed. |
