In this thesis, a high-rise isolated building (frame-shear wall structure) was computed and analyzed, which is the highest isolated building so far in Shanxi province. By the finite element analysis program-ETABS, which is famous inthe world, the isolated structure model and the general structure model werebuilt respectively. The thesis gave each of them their eight frequencies and their corresponding spatial modes and the comparison results of two model's modes. The structure models were also calculated with the time history analysis. The largest story shear, the largest story displacement, the lateral structure deformation and story of acceleration of the two model's were presented under the action of weak earthquake and strong earthquake. It proceeded the statistical analysis of the largest story shears of different earthquake waves.The thesis discussed the effects of the factors on the high-rise isolated building, such as the rigidity and-damping of isolation system, the structural rigidity, the earthquake ground motion duration and so on.In conclusion, through the analysis of the thesis, the high-rise isolated building are not suit to be built at some instance..
