As a new structural system, R.C. framed structure with special-shaped columns has been know about it's advantage by people. And there is some development about it when it is used in practice. It has been confirmed that the size of large space is limited because the weak-story of the frame with special-shaped columns is the first floor. In order to find a solution to this question, framed structure with special-shaped columns and beam-transfer is put forward.In this paper, the ductile behavior of special-shaped columns with thick leg is analyzed. At the basement of calculated results, the suggestions related to axial compression ratio is also proposed. In order to research the behavior of R.C. framed structure with special-shaped columns and beam-transfer, some planar frames are analyzed by the method of nonlinear static analysis. Under the analysis above, the position of the weak-story, ductility of structure and the ratio of stiffness is studied. At last an suggestion is proposed about the ratio of stiffness.During the analysis, curvature ductility is calculated by program in C++ builder, and the nonlinear static analysis(push-over) is run in sap2000.
