Over loading and quick transport is a new need of the development of our country rail freight . Rail vehicle not only must be stopped in the braking distance, but also keep the save of the car wheels and the travel, so the empty and load brake equipment becomes more and more importment . Our country has researched the device a half of century. In fifties our country had made manual empty and load equipment, and had begun researching automatic empty and load equipment in eighties, and lately had made a series of KZW empty and load equipments especially. The manual empty-load is not accord with the development, because it is behindhand and that has some problems such as error and unadjust. The KZW empty-loads are perfect, but the means of measuring weight is under dynamic of vehicle system, so they must be affected by the oscillation of vehicle . By the research about the equipment long time, we have advanced and designed a set of staticly measuring weight automatic stepless adjustment empty and load equipment. The static measuring weight automatic stepless empty-load measures the vehicle load in static, then records the weight as the gist of the next brake. The mean of measuring weight is very precision because there is no effect of the vehicle vibration , namely it is able to measure the vehicle weight accurately in the relax car's brake. The empty-load can meet the request of our country's main type brakes , and that it can adapt most types freight car's bogies if they have a uniform static yield of bolster spring and can be modified a few parameters to meet the other bogies needs which have no uniform static yield of bolster spring. So the device has a good future in the empty-load research.
