Suspended building that conforms to nature laws is a new kind of structure system. We can make full use of the high-strength building materials in this system. Because it can bring us big room in the building, it is possible to solve the contradictory between usable function and structural construction. Suspended structure system can realize the unity of safety, suitability and beauty, so it is of good benefit to the society and economy. This paper researches the dynamic properties for suspended structure system as follows. Firstly, the control system of suspended structure including active control, passive control and action mechanism is analyzed based on structure control theory. Secondly, the points of design for core-tube suspension structure are listed briefly. The frequency response functions of relative displacement and absolute acceleration are derived under acting of harmonic ground excitation. The effect of the damping, frequency and suspended mass ratio on dynamic response is discussed in the paper. Thirdly, based on the simplification model that is adopted widely. A new precision vibration absorption model is established for correctly representing the interaction of suspended floors. This paper discusses the effect of suspended mass, rigidity on structure frequencies and compares the result from simplification model with that from precision model. The analytical results show that the effect of connected rigidity between main part and hanger on response is remarkable, and the frequency range increases if hung floors. The smaller connected rigidity is, the more obvious the distinguishing of modes of hanger and main parts is. It is the opposite swing of hanger that makes main parts achieve vibration absorption effect. Finally, the vibration absorption property of suspended structure is researched by using the response spectrum analysis and time history analysis. In time history analysis, the modification of damping matrix is presented. Rayleigh damping model is adopted in main part and actual value is adopted in connected damping between main part and hanger. Compared with the results of time history analysis, response spectrum theory overestimates the action of earthquake, so that the time history analysis should be adopted besides the response spectrum theory in calculating suspended structure...
