It is the study focus of BLDC motor applications how to reduce torque ripples and current ripples. According to this focus, a solution of intelligent control system of BLDC (Brushless DC) motor using TI's TMS320LF2407 is presented in this paper. The control system includes three closed loops, which are position loop, current loop and speed loop.Based on an in-depth study of BLDC motor work theory and its control method, and modern control theory, online self-tuning fuzzy-PID algorithm is used to ameliorate the control system. Fuzzy logic is used to tune the three parameters Kp, Ki and Kd on line. Some control difficulties due to the nonlinearity and model uncertainty of BLDC motor is recovered effectively. Online self-tuning fuzzy-PID controller can be designed in two parts: fuzzy controller and PID controller. The most important part is the design of fuzzy controller. A fuzzy controller of two dimensions is used and its two inputs are the error and the error differentiation. The three outputs of the fuzzy controller are regulated and then are used to tune the three parameters of PID controller. The simulation results show perfect performance.TMS320LF2407 DSP controller, which is optimized for motor control, is used to digitalize the control system. This DSP controller is designed with special peripherals for motor control. Its operation speed is very fast. In this paper, hardware design scheme is given. Some important functions blocks of data treat board and power drive board are introduced in detail. Programs are written in C and Assembly language and are debugged successfully.
