Considering the improvement of the demanding in reliability and economic of the power supply system, it is of great significance to carry out the condition based maintenance. In this thesis, the necessity of exerting the condition monitoring of the high voltage circuit breaker is discoursed, and the vibrant condition monitoring is researched and discussed. STFT (Short-time Fourier Transform) method is utilized to analyze the vibrant signal comparing with other analysis methods. A supervisory system of H.V. circuit breakers vibrant condition is developed based on the virtual instrument technology and the LabVIEW programming language. The database for the condition monitoring is also developed in order to record and query the data. The testing results prove that this system is feasible with the function of real time monitoring for the breaker. It owns the functions of the data automatic acquiring, the data analysis, and the data storage orienting the vibrant signals generated during the altering of the breaker between the opening and close state.
