With the speeding development of the national economy, as the basis and the guarantee of the whole society economic development, the electric industry has been developed increasingly. Family and industry costume much more electricity. The quality of supplying electricity is much more important than ever. The reliability and the high efficiency of the electric network are the main points. Therefore, it is necessary to use more safety components in supplying electricity. As the important part in the electrical network, bus has been taken more and more serious. The research and the manufacturing of the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus have been deeply concerned by the manufacturers.This paper firstly explains the significance of researching the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus and analyzes the situations in nation and abroad. It presents the calculating method of the structure designing for the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus. At the same time, according to the theory, it provides the calculating programs for defining the dimensions of the bus. This program can be used to calculate continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus of different volt and current conveniently.Secondly, it calculates a series of rational continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus for the external diameter of the enclosure is 900mm, analyzes and calculates the magnetic fields of the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus by using limited unit method. From this it acquires the distributions of magnetic fields and magnetic density as well as the eddy current. At the same time, it calculates the electrical fields of the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus, also acquires the distributions of the electrical fields. By using theresults, it can analyze the insulated properties of the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus.Finally, it calculates the clectrodynamic forces of the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus and analyzes the force effect. Meanwhile, it calculates the stress of the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus in detail and rectifies the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus by comparing the stress with the permitting stress of the conductor in order to check if the designing continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus is up to the standard.In conclusion, the designing method of the continuous enclosure type isolated-phase bus in this paper is largely suitable and the analyzing and rectifying methods are practical. It can be a convenient guide to the manufacturers and the practical method for checking products for the customers.
