Overvoltage automatic recording device is restricted by the way which can get overvoltage from power system for a long time ,and can't make great progress.Because realtime recording higher voltage level power system require some special device which can get overvoltage , and some technique difficulty exist . And 10kV distribution network is used to supply power for user directly,its distribution is extensive,equipment is more and electric insulation level is low,it is easy that overvoltage accident occur. Overvoltage occur frequently and causes great damage in 10kV distribution network,especially in the system whose neutral-point doesn't earth. So, by comparison in a few way getting overvoltage ,we research the technique and principle that realtime record overvoltage in distribution by divider.Familiar automatic recording device for overvoltage can just monitor inner overvoltage,but the device introduced in the paper can real time record lighting impulse overvoltage and inner overvoltage together in 10kV distribution system.With the characteristics of overvoltage in the 10kV distribution network,the principle of realtime recording device for overvoltage is introduced by author,and design and develop applied realtime and automatic recording device for overvoltage first. Divider,coaxial line,trigger,signal processing,data acquisition, acquisition control and waveform analysis software is included in the device.When the device operate in the system ,overvoltage is transferred to coaxial line by the divider.If the overvoltage amplitude is higher than initialization value,data acqusition card start sampling.When sampling is over,computer save data to file. Engineer can analyse parameter of waveform by appropriative software reading data from file.In the trial measurement,the device shows good performance.simulant trial and actual result indicate that method in the paper acquire approving effect.The successful develop of device can improve reliability of distribution ,can bring some operating experience for realtime and automatic recording overvoltage in higher voltage level power system.
