P-HEV(short for Parallel-Type Hybrid Electric Vehicle)as a kind of HEV, has great application vision for its good performance in PowerTrain and exhaust as the Environment Protection is emphasized so much today. This paper explores this field to try to find a way out in controlling HEV, and is composed of the design and research of P-HEV controller, the circuit design of P-HEV's electric power part and the experimental system design for the controller.The task of this controller is to control the diesel and DC electric machine to be combined together under certain conditions automatically to get good power and exhaust performance. The diesel and electric machine are combined through a gearbox in the PowerTrain and the electric machine's work state is controlled by power electronic transistor. To get reasonable ratio of diesel and electric machine's power and proper controlling parameters, the industrial computer as supervisor system is used. It displays the torque of diesel and electric machine, the speed, etc.The controller is made up of two parts: hardware and software. The hardware is a single chip microcomputer system. The CPU of the microcomputer is Intel 196kc. The hardware consists of switch signal par, analog signal collecting part, microcomputer and driving part. Signal collecting part samples speed, position, etc. Microcomputer deals with these data. The controller responses differently to the results of the calculation. The software is written in ASM96 language.By using the least number of IGBT, an up-to-date power electronic semiconductor transistor, this paper completes the circuit design of P-HEV electric part. By rebuilding the existing experimental station, the paper also designs the P-HEV's experiment system.The controller is proved to have the basic abilities to run P-HEV automatically, and can be used for experiments.
