The greatest feature of the electronic transformer is the direct output low-levelanalog and digital signals, and can directly interface with microcomputer-basedprotection and electronic metering device. In addition to the many intermediatelinks, to meet with the demand of power system to digital, intelligent and network,will become the ideal substitute for the traditional power transformer. Electronictransformer for the development of substation automation system will berevolutionary, will have a profound impact on the structure and function ofmicrocomputer protection device. Therefore, the topics and research has importanttheoretical significance and practical value.This paper proposes the design of microcomputer protection interface withmedium voltage electronic transformer, researches the Texas Instruments DSPprocessor TMS320F2812and embedded real-time operating system μ C/OS-Ⅱ inmicrocomputer-based protection, the application of microcomputer protection devicehardware circuit and software architecture design. This article first discusses thedevelopments and the trends of the microcomputer-based protection, electronictransformer works, and its impact on power system.Then, the protection, monitoringand control functions of the device for in-depth theoretical analysis and research,introduces the protection and measuring algorithms used in the device.Subsequently, designs the overall hardware platform of the microcomputerprotection device, and the various functional modules of the device descried in detailfrom design concept, selection of chips, chip characteristics and circuit design.Finally, studies the embedded real-time multitasking operating system μ C/OS-Ⅱ inthe transplant on TMS320F2812then designs application software architecture ofthe microcomputer protection base on it.The microcomputer protection device proposed in this paper has a lot ofinnovation in the hardware platform and software system architecture, lays a goodfoundation for further in-depth research, prototyping and industrialization, has agood marketing significance.
