The structure and the aerodynamics performance of marine gas turbine inlet system is one of the important aspects when the gas turbine is installed on the naval vessels. It requires more even airflow and avoids the tremble of the compressor and the instability of gas turbine. At the same time, the dimension of the inlet volute must be as small as possible, so that the gas turbine can work well. In order to offer reliable basis, in this article two inlet system models of gas turbine are designed and some numerical simulations are carried on according to the requirements mentioned above. The simulation and experience results of the two projects are famous and important to the actual application.We must master its aerodynamics performance before finalizing the design of inlet system. It needs more manpower and material resources as well as longer experimental period to realize characteristic of the different inlet structure absolutely by model experimentation, so numerical simulation studying method has important meaning. The following works had been done in this thesis:1. The numerical simulation of the inlet flow fields in the gas turbine. Obtained numerical simulation results of flow fields include the uniformity, with the geometrical boundary completely according with the actual one and nothing being simplified.2. The experiments of the two projects are carried out to study the uniformity of the inlet system by using a special experimental wind tunnel. The numerical simulation results were verified.
