Study On The Design Method Of ATB Materials

Asphalt treated base (for shot ATB) owns the specialities of supernal resisting-cut, good bearing-fatigue, controlling and reducing reflect-crack, and the trial results show fine economy and pavement performances.In virtue of the particularity of structure layer, the sample molding and design ways are different from the one for surface layer of mixes. Through parallel trial studying Marshall hit and circumrotate press molding, traditional Marshall design method and mechanics index method, the paper brings forward the molding and design method adapting to different types of ATBs. Considering the difficulty of constructing thick layer mixture, the paper advances the construction control technology for a single thick ATB mixture layer. Synthesizing the advantages and disadvantages of supple pavement design methods of inside and outside, the research finds a new structure design model for ATB asphalt pavement fitting our country qualifications.
