| In this paper, the problem of the parallel connection of arc-extinction coils that is caused by the connection of substations in MV distribution systems is especially analyzed and studied. Be based on distribution automation, the probability and feasibility of the parallel connection of arc-extinction coils is analyzed. The each situation that all kinds of arc-extinction coils are parallel connected is especially analyzed, and aiming at these situations, a bran-new scheme is brought forward. Then this scheme is materialized by an integrated program named control of the parallel connection of arc-extinction coils, which can receive the data from RTU and send the control commends through the special database that is connected with EMS of distribution network.
