Recently,with the demand of production and life of people,lots of large-span structure building arise in cities. Large-span steel truss, grid frame and other forms of steel structure are applied not only in reinforced concrete structures but also in steel structures and as a result many types of more long span structures are developed to meet the need of large space in architecture. The paper begins with the introduction of the definition,materials,forms,application and development of large-span structure and then dissertate the common construction methods,technological characteristics and requirement which includes high altitude construction in bulk,assemble, segment by segment,integral assembly,integral propping up,whole installation and sliding construction. Referring to the large span structure,the author describes the material,construction characteristics,manufacture,connection,application and development and then discusses the main techniques in the integral sliding construction for large span structure, which includes jacking scheme, plan layout, assembly, stacking of components, setting of sliding system, setting of track etc. Base on the analysis of the model of Beam Sting Structure, the author introduces its forms, development and applications , give a method to calculate and analysis this type of structure and list the factors that inflect the structure. The paper emphasizes the most representative form of the beam string structure—the inver-triangle shaped arch truss with a prestressed cable-chord and construction method of it,which include segment assemble , integral assemble of the truss ,design of assemble falsework, the common materials and anchorage for stretching proceeding. The paper has an emphases on the monitoring of stretching process and use a finite element methoded computer program ANSYS to simulate the truss stretching from start state to stretching finish state for the purpose on finding the displacement of key nodes. At list the paper discuss some problems in sliding construction , analysis how to control the sliding synchronously and how to monitor the proceeding of sliding construction.
