The Steam turbine is a machine regards steam as the work substance, and transforms thermal energy into kinetic energy of steam flow. Steam turbines are widely used in the generation of nuclear power plants and in steam power plants. They operate with fuel-fired boilers for power generation. So far, the electricity generated by steam turbine is about 80% in all kinds of electricity in the world. Steam turbines are the most power mechanical equipment in modern countries. The steam path of the steam turbine through which steam flows consists of nozzles, and the moving blade, fixed blade and other auxiliary equipment. The power is decreased when the fouling in the steam path of steam turbines is formed. In addition, and the surface of the case is rough and the friction is increased result from the generation of the fouling. The serious troubles may be take place when the fouling is generated on main vapor valves, monitor valves and the valve. So the cleaning of the steam path for steam turbines plays important roles in the maintenances of the steam turbines.In this article, based on many references and thesis all over the world, the cleaning method of the steam path for steam turbines is suggested Accordingly, some kinds of practical cleaning methods is suggested on the base of the performance of the steam turbines and the maintenances on spot in Luohuang power plant. It consists of the method that cleaning the steam path by steam on low-load and that cleaning the steam path by water spray into the turbines. These methods are great guidance to the cleaning of the steam path for steam turbines. The cleaning of the steam path for steam turbines play important roles in maintenances. Whereas the situation of the fouling could not be monitored without shutting down. In this article, based on the thermal calculation and the fluid functions, the steam path for steam turbines is theoretically analyzed. Many data related with the fouling and structures is researched.According to the method can not only discovers the fouling generation in time, but also proceed the great cleaning project. At the same time it's a good conference for the optimal control of the steam turbine.
