When a steam turbine and its thermal system work in transient condition, a change of the parameters along its channel and in its thermal system will take place. In order to obtain an optimal thermal process of a steam turbine and its thermal system, especially, to ensure the initial and boundary condition parameters to calculate thermal stress in the components or to assess the safety of the steam turbine, it is necessary to carry out a concise and reliable thermal calculation as a function of it position coordination.This paper completes functions for computing water vapor characteristics, using any two independent parameters to get other parameters. Furthermore on the basis of the negative method and the sequence method for calculating the thermal parameters of steam turbine, this paper presents the combination method and this method has high accuracy and convergence. Finally we use the matrix method to simulate the thermal system of the steam turbine.
