A construction putty powder for exterior is an auxiliary material of a coat in the course of decoration. Its major function is make walls smooth as a substrate treating material. For some reasons, little attention has been paid to its developments and applications. The present work is to develop a new high performance single component waterproofing construction putty powder with cement fly asb quartz powder CMC and PP fiber as its main constitutes. Its result can be a basis to popularize cement putty and a reference to establish national criterion.Firstly, the influence of some major materials on the basic performances of putty was studied, and find the major constitutes and mix proportion, simultaneity, the principle to select element is cheap unpolluted and comprehensive.Secondly, according to some performances of putty specimen such as strength mucosity work function, the effect of CMC and PP fiber was discussed by contrast experimentation. And find the last elements and mix proportion.Thirdly, the article researched generally other performances about PP fiber putty by contrast. The results showed that the new construction putty for exterior what we studied has the characteristic of high strength, good work functions and excellent water- resistance stability etc, and its technical performances satisfy the regulation.Finally, the reason that the performances of new construction putty were improved was analyzed from the point of micro by SEM, EDXA and MIP. The result and phenomena were explained in the course of experiment, the mechanism about shrinkage at early age and anti-cracking of polypropylene fiber were discussed elementary.
