The essential structural mechanism and construction properties of Hoop Truss Deployable Satellite Antenna are investigated in this thesis. Three-dimensional parametric models of the antenna's arms and hoop truss are built by using three-dimensional parametric modeling technology. And statics analysis of hoop truss has been carried out in this thesis.Considering the restriction of the effective transportation capacity, two-arm stretching mechanism, as a new scheme of deployable arm, is proposed in this thesis and has been primarily designed. By using Pro/Engineer, three-dimensional parametric model of arm is presented for further design of arm and layout between satellite and antenna.Independent variable parameters of hoop truss and relations between assemblies are obtained by analyzing the function, basic theory and construction properties of hoop truss. According to the relation, three-dimensional parametric model of hoop truss is developed. Then through re-development, we can get two-dimensional drawings immediately from the three-dimensional model, which can be used for production. The thesis introduces the way to perform the statics analysis. The model of statics analysis is gained by analyzing the changes of the force on the hoop truss during the deployment.
