Traditional villages might include the complex systems, mainly on the society, political, culture and economy. The system was formed into a stable state by the various social lives and their relationship. Any sole feature cannot entirely reflect the living system of the old society of China. Only those features had been connected together and appearances a stable system of rural society, can we recognize the significance of rural society through the institution culture.China is a vast traditional agriculture country, the amount and spread of villages are extensive compared with other countries, and how to find out effective ways of preservation from thousands of strands and loose ends is a quite difficult problem. Nowadays, our country is becoming more emphasizes on the preservation of cultural relic, especially traditional villages. But traditional village is not equal to the relics, it is a kind of living relics that reflects both history and contemporary life in the world, so we must take special measures according to its characters.In view of natural environment, economical pattern, phyletic organization and family configuration, this dissertation analyzes the developing characters of longMen Village which is the typical phyletic village in south China and its configuration in order to discovers the relations between assembling inhabitation of Chinese phyletic society and configuration of village.
