A Study On The Residential Settlement Patterns And Charateristics Of Traditional Village-Zhongcun

Settlement is a system of social life which Combined with Space, culture and economy. The settlement has experienced the specific natural environment and the historical perspective, and presents the bright localization. Our country's village settlement is the ancient agriculture society. It has the miniaturization, closeness and the homogeneous characteristic which caused its own system stable developed under the different historical period and the social background.ZhongCun located in the City of ChangZhi is a typical village settlement in southeast Jin area. Once here was one of the birthplaces of Shanxi Merchants. No matter the entire distribution or the characteristics of the common people residence are all impacted by on the culture of Shanxi merchants. The retained village which is compounds from the Shanxi Merchants in the village is a concentrated expression of this phenomenon. This article respectively conducts the research by macroscopic and the microscopic angles to the Nakamura settlement's shape characteristics. First of all, at the macro view, we position the development of the village sub-village from the village of experience in the development of the different periods of history and cultural characteristics of the background, combined with the development of business ZELU context Nakamura seeks settlement through the different stages of development in which social patterns, economic patterns, family structures, as well as culture and education and research reveals the impact of the village settlement pattern in the development of macro-environmental factors and social power of the intrinsic link between them. Then, we focuses on the micro aspects of the village to study the characteristics of traditional architecture, from the constituent elements, layout features, spatial patterns, as well as decorative detail and to show the regional characteristics of the traditional architecture from the many aspects and the views.The traditional Confucian culture and the commercial culture blended with each other in the village create a residential village with a unique space shape. Traditional building systems in ancient village are materialization's performance of cultural systems and livelihood systems. In the active development of new rural construction process, the development of traditional building has become a new focal point of controversy. In this paper, this paper provides a throughway through the analysis in the morphological characteristics of the settlement and traditional architecture' configuration in ZHONGCUN; and it must have practical significance for the level of protection and development of these traditional building systems and construction of the settlement system.
