Study On Main Entrance Environment Of University Campus

The main entrance of university campus is the entrance for exchanging culture and information with the outside. As the node of edge between the city and campus, the main entrance of university campus is the area of the permeation between them .It is fairly important for the function and landscape of campus. It can gather or scatter the pedestrian flow between the campus and outside; it is not only the window of the campus but also the guide of the character of landscape in the university campus.The structure of this article is composed of three parts; the first is a basis research to discuss the relative conception, including the history about the development of the main entrance of university campus, and the relation between urban space and the entrance of university campus. The second is the basis theory study, analyzing the function of the main entrance of university campus and the factors that affect them. The third is an environment creation in the main entrance of university campus, discussing the environment design in three aspects of artificial landscape, natural landscape and movable landscape. Then put forward the skill and idea that aim at the environment design in the door of university campus.This article is aim to build the frame of the environment design and guide for it in the main entrance of university campus.
