Analyzed the actual state of the companies producing air filter in our country, wefind the main reasons of the bad quality of the homemade air filters are the laggingtesting method and system. The purpose of this thesis is to research and empolder aset of testing system to measure the performance of the air filter, which can simplifythe operating, shorten the testing period, heighten the testing precision and reduce thecost for air filter firms. Based on the analysis of many air-filter-testing standards of the world, we considerthat both the testing method of general ventilation air-cleaning devices and the testingmethod of HEPA (ULPA) tend to the method of particle number efficiency. The onlydifference of the two kind of testing system is different dust source. According to thisstandpoint, this thesis puts forth a scheme to test the performance of air filter, whichcombined "HEPA testing system" with "general ventilated air filter testing system" tomake one system. Efficiency detection of the filter adopts the method of particlenumber efficiency. According to the scheme, an experimental installation that can testall kinds of filter has been established. It is a system that uses the computer as the primary processing unit. The degree ofits automatization is very high. This system has some characteristics: in the part of thehard ware, we use precise convertor, signal converting circuit, IAS BUS structuredata collecting circuit board as the main components to collect the data. The problemof testing precision in the old air filter testing system has been solved. In the part ofthe soft ware, this system is based on the windows operating system and compiled bythe popular computer language-Visual Basic, which make the operating face veryfriendly and is very easy to be learned and manipulated. The data collection andautomatic control system of computer have been introduced, which replaced thetraditional manual operation, and realized the automatization of the filter-testingsystem, making the test more facilitated and the results more reliable. Through the study of this thesis, the filter-testing system based on the datacollection and automatic control system of computer has been completed. By testing,both the system and the testing results meet the filter test requirements. Theaccomplishment of this testing system furnishes a set of facilitative instrument for thefilter companies of our country. This thesis has some guiding meaning to the designand manufacture of the newly-built filter-testing system.
