Satellite power sub-system is one of the essential systems in satellite. Developing satellite power test and evaluate system is of great importance. Based on the concept of virtual instrument, a satellite power test and evaluation system is developed. Software and hardware are combined together to gain the highest performance and lowest cost.Solar array simulator is programmed in LabVIEW to simulate the running condition of satellite (such as sun angle, shadow time, orbit and so on). Electronic load is programmed in LabVIEW to simulate the running condition of satellite load. By data collecting and processing, satellite power engineers can monitor and evaluate working condition of satellite power system.A simple model of unregulated bus satellite power system is tested. Test result is given for verifying the function of this test and evaluation system.
