The article primary introduces composing of HT-7 Neutral Beam Injection (NBI) system, then mainly analyzes gas target thickness, that is pressure distribution of neutralizer gas cell, one of factors which affect heating efficiency of NBI. The article analyzes mainly the relation between pressure distribution of neutralizer and efficiency of neutralize describing neutralized rate of high-energy ion beam in the process of passing neutralizer. Then, we accurately analyze pressure distribution in the axis direction of axis of NBI system, especially of pressure distribution curve of neutralizer. And we consider sufficiently all kinds of factors, such as conductance of tube, leak and deflate of system, pump speed, ionization and re-ionization of high-energy ion taking place in the process of transmission. Furthermore, we take two ways to discuss pressure distribution of cell. First, we construct a dividing segment model of neutralizer; utilize Runge-Kutta method to give a series of iterative formula and complete calculation by running computer program. Second, we make use of Monte Carlo way to simulate the pressure distribution. Comparing the conclusion of simulation with theory calculation, we found that the data are very close. And it testifies mutual correctness to some extent. On the basis of pressure analysis, we reform some components which affect gas target thickness and designed a suit of puffing system and utilized it to control pressure distribution of system exactly. We select PV-10 piezoelectric valve as puffing valve in the design of puffing system. The reason is that we can accurately adjust gas quantity of system by it. The article quantificational studies the relation between gas quantity and voltage amplitude and pulse width of pulse supply power driving valve. Finally, we utilized the system to make an experiment in puffing gas of NBI system and analyzed the relation between pressure variation of Tank and gas quantity.
