Lightning is a natural phenomenon. With its instantaneous, paroxysmalness and high dangerousness, the study towards lightning has not been stopped since nineteen century. People cannot find its secret too much although many productions are acquired. The study of lightning strike selectivity is difficult in the whole nature, which relates to many factors, including main discharge current intensity, the height and shape of induction-objects, their commutative influence, soil resistance, the difference of ion background etc., at the same time, the air temperature, humidity and direction also leads to different choice of lightning strike although the same main current intensity. The paper discusses the mechanism of the choice, mainly referring to lightning leader developing model from physics process, analyzing the development of lightning channels combining macroscopic and microcosmic principle, meanwhile, presenting lightning selectivity in some factors.My paper is mainly made up of the following parts. The first is to combine plasma principle and analyze the iron property in movement and the mathematical relationship.The second part is to analyze adown moving lightning channels from the macroscopic and microcosmic viewpoint. The mathematical model of downwards lightning channels can be analyzed by equivalent charge in this part. Lightning induces changing induction charge to ground object when lightning channels are in different channels height and level distance.Thirdly, according to the principle of lightning channels moving from the largest direction point of electric-field, we figure out lightning strike selectivity when lightning leader has different height and level distance to ground object, using the ANSYS software.The paper indicates that we are available to analyze lightning selectivity when liking advanced plasma principle. Despite the paper only considers the height of induction of object, effecting strike selectivity as a factor, our study can still bring some illumination for future study.
