In a long time, the railway transportation was a most important transportation mean of human therewith advantages such as big freight volume, high-speed, safety and saving energy, which has an important action to economy developments in the world. Compared with road and aviation transportation, the railway not only saves energy, but also little pollutes environment. Therefor, a lot of financings are launched into developing railway transportation in the world, especially high-speed railway.At the present, the total mileage of the world high-speed railway is nearly 5000km, which passenger car mainly runs on, and Development of high-speed freight car is tardily. So, in order to increase freight volumes, it is in the chapter of possibilities to improve speed of freight trains. In 2000, Pakistan Railway began to carry an economy reforming item which is adopting high-speed, heavy duty freight trains improve the transportation ability of Pakistan Railway. Therefor, in 2002, according to the request and traits of Pakistan Railway, the Technical Center of MeiShan Rolling Stock Works designed wagons for Pakistan Railway. On this background, a project of the bogie for the Pakistan freight car is put forward, and choosing of suspension parameters, dynamics analyses and intension calculating of key parts are carried.In this thesis, on basis of the study of a bogie's type, a design project of the bogie for freight car is put forward. The structures of the project are introduced in detail. According to traits of the bogie, a corresponding dynamics calculating model is established, and parameters optimizing and dynamics calculating of a bogie are carried by computer numerical simulation. According to the simulation results, dynamic performances of a bogie are analyzed in detail.In this article, the Finite Element Strength Analysis are made for the side frame and bolster which bear considerable and complicated loads on the freight car. Structure optimizations are also made in the precondition of strength meeting the relevant requirements of TB/T1335-1996.Finally, the rolling test of proto-type is introduced. The test results show the every performance index of the bogie meets the dynamic evaluation standard in GB5599-85, which reach the predicting research target.
