An intensity modulated fiber optic micro-accelerometer with a digitally feedback circuit is designed. This sensor employs a graded index lens with a reflective coating on one end and measures the relative displacement between the lens and a pair of optical fibers. Because of the digitally rebalanced circuit, the sensor is capable of achieving better static and dynamic characteristic, higher sensitivity and stability.In this paper, the propagation path of light in the step index fiber and graded index fiber is introduced firstly. Then the paper sets up the coupled power model and develops the coupling function. The system of digitally optic fiber acceleration sensor is analyzed by computer , and The detailed implementation circuits are designed. To improve the performance of the system, some methods are introduced, such as photoelectric brightness Modulating, amplification of the photoelectric AC signal and filter design .The circuitry of the demodulator is also presented. This work lays solid foundation for the future system integration.
