Study Of Arbitrary Waveform Generator Based On DSP

This paper studies the system of the Arbitrary Waveform Generator based DSP. DDSis key technique to it. DDS is digital synthesizer technique. This technique can controlamplitude, phase and frequency of waveform in precision, so it can synthesize arbitrarywaveform. The drawback of the DDS is high level of spurious frequencies. There arethree main source of spurious signal in DDS: the truncation of the phase accumulatorbits addressing the sine ROM, the finite precision of the sine samples stored in theROM and nonlinear of the digital-to-analog conversion. Reduction of spur signals is keyto modify output spectrum of DDS. TMS320C6711 DSP is a high performance Digital Signal Processors, which is fitfor system of Arbitrary Waveform Generator. Methods of spurs-reduced can be easilyapplied on C6711 DSP to modify spectrum of output signal. Considering merits of DSP and DDS, We design a system of new type ArbitraryWaveform Generator , which can synthesize kinds of waveform.
