With the increasing of the load and existance of the higher voltage scale, the reactive power transformation caused by the line switching and load changing is more and more common. Therefore, the ability to regulate and control the voltage and reactive power should be advanced. With the load sharply increasing in recent years, the Beijing electric network often runs over-load and the lack of power in summer and winter sometimes appears. So, the study on the Beijing network voltage stability means a lot in this case. This paper presents a preliminary method based on the BPA program to analyze the steady state voltage stability of Beijing main electric network (voltage above 220kV). The sensitivity and margin indexes are introduced to evaluate the voltage stability. That result is critical to the electric network reconstruction, voltage monitoring and control, reactive power compensation.Sun Qiang (electrical engineering) Directed by prof. Zhang Jianhua...
