According to the principle of FEM, several kinds of overhead line clamp fittings in electrification railway are analyzed by using ANSYS program. At first, some basic theories and methods of FEM in the ANSYS program are introduced in this paper. Based on these theories, the method including material nonlinear, state nonlinear (contact), harmonic response and fatigue are applied to 8 load cases of every part. In the course of calculation, intelligent meshing is used and SOLID92 element is adopted because of the complex shape of the models. V.Mises criterion is applied when plastic deformation is considered. Both material nonlinear and state nonlinear should be considered on the models of state nonlinear, and contact elements need to be added to (Targe170,Conta174). The solution of state nonlinear is penalty function based on the sort of contact, and Newton-Raphson method is used in solving static process. Then some parts under sine-wave load is analyzed in harmonic response, and the fatigue life period is defined using the maximum stress in order to make the part durable. The method of harmonic response is modal superposition. Comparing the calculating results with test data, some suggestions are pointed out in the period of design, construction and application. It is believed that this analysis can take an active role in the native made of the overhead line fittings.
