The Fault Isolation Controller of the Electrified Wire Netting is one of the most important parts in the electric power system ensuring the credibility of the transmitting network. It is being widely used in transmitting and distributing the electric power, examining the operating status, registering and displaying the parameters of power failure and controling the movements of the switches.On the base of the devices currently used in the electric power transmitting network in the world, a new autocontrol instrument of the Fault Isolation Controller is designed to satisfy the requirements of the Chinese power system. The kind of new autocontrol logic structures used in its judgment part has high aptitude, judgment credibility and delicacy, fast reaction, low cost and easy realization, which can effectively judge and isolate the failure, and deal with the condition that the area of failure power on again. It can also save the data before power failure and recover the status of the system as the power on. Using CPLD technique in the core control logic design, this instrument has better anti-jamming, synchronized inputs and outputs, wide work frequency and being replantable.Partial hardware test and software simulation indicates the success of this design, which can realize the basic function and promote some performance of the Fault Isolation Controller with a lower cost.In the thesis, the design of the Fault Isolation Controller and the basic principle of CPLD are expatiated. And, it is also discussed in detail how to cope with the problem encountered in the development and research. At the same time, the simple introduction on the design tool and HDL is shown in the paper, too.
