Design Of Intelligent Release Based On DSP And Real-time Embedded System

This paper introduces all sorts of measuring and protectingarithmetic about intelligent release of circuit breaker. And the hardwareand software of the intelligent release are designed to realize theintelligent protection, remote control, centralized management of thebreakers.The main function of the intelligent release, whose central controller is TV s DSP TMS320LF2407, is to deal with the sampling data and fault protection of breakers. For the hardware, the standard components and module circuit units are used; some reserve functions are kept to extend the unit designing in the future.In software, the apparatus uses real-time multi-tasking operation system to ensure all tasks having different priority to run in an orderly way. Software is writed in module, this can make being maintained and added some function easy than ever.Finally, in order to realize the communication between the intelligent release and the PC or between the intelligent release and the other control unit, two communication methods used by the RS-485 communication and CAN communication are discussed.
