Abstract The automobile brings serious environment pollution and increasingly petroleumcrisis, as it takes comfort and convenience to human being. The electric vehicle (EV)is driven by electric power, and has low exhaust emission in running (the sample EVhas zero emission). It is regarded as the best substitute for the fuel vehicle to solve theenvironment and energy source problem. Our government puts great emphasis on thedevelopment of EV, and gives great support to industrialization of EV in the nationaltenth Five-year plan and 863-project. The dissertation focuses on the development ofa new auxiliary power hybrid electric microbus that is to be used for the shuttlebetween Olympic playgrounds in 2008. The dissertation first introduces the develop status of EV in domestic and foreign, then shows the key technology used in the EV development. After the analysis of"GDQW-1" EV, we puts forward a new HEV scheme, and discusses, in detail, the fivemost important part: the energy management part, the center monitor system, thedriver control part, the brake feed-back control part and the auxiliary power part. Inthe design scheme, a series hybrid power structure is chosen and the horizontalstructure lead-acid battery is used as the main power. When the battery energy islower than the optimized level, the auxiliary fuel engine starts work to generateelectricity for on line recharge. This method not only greatly improves the driverrange and optimizes the use of battery, but also reduces the exhaust emission comparewith common HEV, realized the HEV low-level exhaust emission, even zero emission. In the end, the dissertation shows the design and realize of the driver control part andthe electric throttle system for auxiliary power part in detail. In the dissertation, the driver control system adopts the optimize policy to controlthe driver system safely, reliably, cozily and high efficiency, according to the motorcurrent running state and the driver control input. The electric throttle system controlsthe fuel engine in the best running state, and optimizes the emission, to recharge thebattery at low pollution and low energy consume.
