This paper first utilizes Ansys Finite Element Analysis software to calculate the magnetization curves and torque-angle curves of a switched reluctance motor. With the result, the math model of the motor is established, and the static performance is simulated and analyzed by spline function approach. The current and torque waveforms are given without any control. Secondly, it introduces iterative learning control. Based on the linear inductance and no-linear torque model, a iterative learning control method for switched reluctance motor to reduce its torque ripple is presented, in which the torque is fed back and the desired current value is obtained by iterative learning. The simulation result shows that the method is rapid and effective. Thirdly, a switched reluctance drive system is designed and the circuit is specified. The model switched reluctance motor is tested and the experimental result and simulation result show that the front analysis method is valid. Finally, to meet the fact, the paper also analyses a new drive scheme theoretically, in which the switched reluctance motor with Y winding connection is excited by three wires. This paper woks over the calculation of switched reluctance motor magnetization curve and its analysis of static performance. The torque ripple reduction is the emphases. The switched reluctance drive system is also designed. So this paper has some theoretical and practical value in switched reluctance motor research and its application.
