Research Of Nuclear Spectrometric Instrument System Based On An Embedded PC/104 Module

With the appearance and development of the nuclear spectrometric instrument, measuring and analyzing level of energy spectrum are widely improved. It is not only a research tool for the conventional subjects, but applied and developed more extensively in many other fields.According to the technique status of existed portable and some research projects, this article has made a systematic study to the application of the embedded PC/104 module in the field of nuclear spectrometric instrument, aiming at integrating XRF fluorescence analysis, energy spectrum measurement, multichannel spectrometer and information processing.The main researching results are as follows:1. Researched and produced the high performance battery charger and the applied circuit of double power supply method using AC power and rechargeable battery.2. Researched and produced the signal processing module with PC/104 standard, including 1024 channels analyzer and fixing spectrum circuit using digitally controlled potentiometer.3. Developed VxD of signal processing module(a device driver fitted for windows 98).4. Developed the spectrum analysis software using Visual C++ and accomplished many tasks on data processing and analyzing.The result of application shows that this nuclear spectrometric instrument has the advantage of high precision and stability, not only indoor, but outdoor.
