Ultrasonic flaw detection is widely used in many fields.Such as large-sized boiler,group of electromotor,petrol pipeline,bridge,aviation and spaceflight,and so on.At present,there are many factories research and produce ultrasonic flaw detection device in our country.These devices instrumental in national construction.Following electronic technology and computer science prompt development,the research and development of ultrasonic flaw detection device develops quickly,too.Ultrasonic flaw detection is from analogue, big,expensive to digital,small and penny after using powerful functional IC and computers.We bring up the subject of outside box of digital ultrasonic flaw detection base on this tendency.Outside box of digital ultrasonic flaw detection include radiating ultrasonic and receiving echo signal.prophase data processing and register.data transimission.This box become a ultrasonic flaw detection when connection to computer of ultrasonic flaw detection software.Because of outside box of digital ultrasonic flaw detection is complex,we only study of digital part.This part include A/D converter,data compacting and register,data transmission and host computer software.TLV5580 is high speed A/D converter of TI.The speed is high to 80 MSPS.The data after converting is very big,so need compact.The aim of data compaction is to find out special data and discard other data.The special data is put into data register.There are many ways of data compaction. By compared these ways,we decided to use CPLD and VHDL to compact data at last.The data after compaction register to dual-port RAM.The data transmission part use USB 1.1 interface.It is very popular interface at present.It has many advantage, high speed,PNP and can apply energy by bus.It has become standard interface of computer and will replace RS232 in the future.We use VC++ of microsoft to program host computer software.VC++ was widely used in program software because it's powerful function and high efficiency.With in-depth design this subject,we bring forward some projects to improve function.We use low power consumption CPLD, high efficiency Verlog HDL and high transmission speedUSB2.0 interface.The device function is improved, use more easy and descend cost.It cater to development of ultrasonic flaw detection.
