Ultrasonic Flaw Detection is one of the most commonly used in Non-destructive testing. The use of ultrasonic flaw detecting instruments and testing has been rapidly development of microelectronic technology and computer. What's more, tradition analog instruments can not match the auto detecting of industry. Therefore, it is going to be a trend to develop and apply digital ultrasonic flaw Detector.All the work is based on the research collaborated with some Steel Corporation. After the research and testing in ultrasonic testing, ultrasonic flaw detector simulation, Advantech PCI-1714 data acquisition card driver, as well as the rail digital ultrasonic flaw detector of critical technologies for the in-depth and meticulous Learning. Determine the experimental system by using of Analog ultrasonic flaw detector simulation ultrasonic signal sending, receiving and handling, using the Taiwan's Advantech's PCI-1714 high-speed analog input data acquisition cards echo data acquisition and digital; using bus master DMA transmission through PCI bus signal acquisition into the industrial control computer. And in this experimental system use the digital programming software to completion of the data storage, waveform display, echo data playback and defect data analysis.On the basis of In-depth study of the inquiry, PCI-1714 data acquisition card and the main features of principle, as well as its driver and control applications, Identified in VC+ +6.0 for the programming tools, ACCESS database for the storage tools, MATLAB for analysis tools, and under the Windows XP operating system platforms, completed the ultrasonic flaw detection system software programming and software testing.Then stored by the ultrasonic echo signal, waveform playback, ultrasonic signals observed in the time domain and the characteristics of data to identify defects. At the same time defect data on the use of wavelet denoising technology, After processing the data do the wavelet analysis, waveform by the ultrasonic flaw in the time domain and frequency domain characteristics and Using neural network technology to identify defects on the basis of this positioning, have been more satisfactory results.In addition, in the basis of experiments and research conducted summing up, in the future to provide further study of certain reference.
