At present the constant velocity driving device which is composed of ball basket constant velocity universal joint together with constant velocity universal joint with pivot is used by automobile transmission system mostly. Because the structure of constant velocity universal joint is very complicated, process the precision of making is high,and difficulty of making is large. Our country introduces foreign special-purpose device mainly at present, it is very expensive to make the investment. For this reason, our country have regard constant velocity universal joint as one of the key part project to support especially.For accelerating the step of domestic of the constant velocity universal joint,it is particularly important to improve its design method. Because the traditional construction cycle of design method is too long,and it does not suit the market competition, so it is substituted by the modern design method gradually.The technology of CAD/CAE is the important part of modern automobile design methods,it does not depend on object and sample car test,which can analyse,appraises and optimize the designing from its initial stage.And with the development of technology of the computer, its calculation precision is higher and higher, therefore it has been more and more extensively approved.Especially software ADAMS which is based on multi-body theory and computer algorithm can automatically creat dynamics and kinematics equation,and solve these equation through its interior solver,so it can save time and human power,and improve working efficiency.We can research and develop whole car and parts through virtual experiments at computer now.This paper presents working principle and all impact/contact models of constant velocity universal joint with ball basket and pivot and thus establishes dynamic model of Ma ZiDa(MPV) L/R8710 constant velocity universal joint with clearance connections.And then simulate the dynamic model through multi-body theory,thus we can getting rid of the phenomenon of interference.At the same time,we can observe the movement of constant velocity universal joint,and See the steel ball movement orbit of transmission clearly. Through the study on simulation curve,we can get the and situation of change of the angular speed differences and the torsion difference,and then understand the performance of transmission.In this paper,we build the constant velocity universal joint 3D entity model in software PRO/E,and then we can get the technology parameters such as mass physical dimension and inertia.In addition,we translate 3D entity model into ADAMS/VIEW directly through Pro/Mechanism which is no sewn interface of PRO/E and ADAMS.Regarding three-dimensional entity as the basis,form the movement part,rationally define the movement condition,and exert correct restriction,thus the precision of model that sets up like this is higher, approach the entity even more;it can save the time of the necessary cost of modeling in ADAMS,and reduce period of the research and development products.in order to examine the exactness of the virtual experiments about constant velocity universal joint, the experiments for domestic and importing transmission shaft are made in automobile electricity pilot test-bed.Through the experiments,we can examine the performance of constant velocity and transmission efficiency.On one hand, compare the difference of transmission performance,and analyse the factor of these differences;On the other hand, contrast the result of the test and dynamics simulation analyse,and demonstrate the feasibility of the virtual experiments about constant velocity universal joint,and then carve out new train and method to research and develop constant velocity universal joint.
