AbstractIn recent years, base isolation technology attracted more concentration gradually and have been wildly used in the world .However, in the traditional theory analysis, influence on base isolation property of the soil-structure interaction was seldom considered for the base isolation structure. This paper focus on this point , calculating and analyzing response of a structure with laminated rubber bearings, considered soil-structure interaction, and provide some beneficial results. The details are as follows:1. The development of soil-structure interaction and calculating methods ,as well as the evolution of base isolation technology in the world are summarized briefly in the paper. Furthermore , some existed limitation and emphases of this research work are presented .2. The basic functions of the upswing FEM software-'ANSYS' and the methods to select and simulate element in the analysis of soil-structure dynamic interaction of a base isolation construction are introduced.3. Some analysis and comparison are done under different earthquake intensity ,various site condition and whether or not considering soil-structure interaction for a 7 storied framed base- isolated structure .And we find that , the displacement amplitude of each story increase greatly compared with the case in which the soil-structure interaction is not considered, but relative displacement amplitude reduce obviously.4. The seismic responses of fixed base and base isolated structure in the case of grade 2 site are compared and analyzed, it's found that the base isolated system reduced the response of superstructure greatly, that is to say, the system is effective to resist earthquake. At last, the research work are generalized and the problems which need further study in the future are discussed.
