Structure Analysis And Calculation Of Model CY4D43 Diesel Engine

Model CY4D43 diesel engine is a subsequently developed new generation of vehicle diesel engine by Dongfeng Chaoyang Diesel Co. Ltd. after its 102 series diesel engines. Model CY4D43 diesel engine is a newly developed vehicle diesel engine with high start point, hight standard and high level, which followed the tracks of advanced engine version among the same products in foreign countries, investigated its development,product expansion, improvement, variant design, various kinds of new technologies, new material and new process, and based on these, digested and incorporated advanced and practical essence, in combination with actual situation of Chinese industrial foundations. Model CY4D43 diesel engine is also applicable for construction machinery, power-generating set, unit in ship etc. which structure design is in leading place at home.After complete analysis and review of all parts drawings of Model CY4D43 diesel engine, in the light of structure characteristics of its cylinder head, block components, crankshaft flywheel group, piston connecting rod group, fuel system and intake/exhaust system, the detailed analgsis and introduction were giver in this paper. Also were calculated some key dimensions, such as the concave size of its intake/exhaust valves, compression ratio, whether intake/exhaust valves touch piston top or not, length of valve spring after pre-tight, axial clearance of crankshaft, axial clearance of camshaft, etc.. The strength of its head bolt, main bearing seat bolt, connecting rod group bolt, flywheel and crankshaft conneting bolt were reviewed and calculated. Finally, the load carrying ability of the bushing of connecting rod group small end, connecting rod group shell and main shell, and strength of piston pin and pin seat, flywheel inertia and strength were checked and computed. The problems occurred in design were corrected so that the correctness of the parts design in theory could be ensured, which would play significant roles role in speeding up the development of Model CY4D43 diesel engine.
