Using aluminum alloy as a kind of building materials is a new trend in civil engineering, the project practice of the aluminum alloy structure is getting more and more in our country. But except that shanghai issue "Technical specification for design and construction of aluminum-alloys reticulated structures"(DGJ08-95-2001) on 2001, there is not an official norm that can be followed at home, this has restricted the development of the aluminum alloy structure to a certain extent in our country. The thesis aims at studying stability of aluminum alloy axial compression members. Considering the member's initial geometric imperfection and in static loading condition, the main work of the dissertation is carrying on the research of the stability of I-shape section aluminum alloy axial compression members by means of large-scale project finite element calculation procedure ANSYS. Factors affecting the ultimate bearing capacity of aluminum alloy axial compression member such as slendemess ratios, width-to-thickness on web and height-to-thickness on flange are analyzed in this thesis by measuring aluminum alloy axial compression member's ultimate bearing capacity to different slendemess ratios, different width-to-thickness on web and different height-to-thickness on flange. At last, based on the numerical analysis, combined with the overseas research results and other calculation related method, the stability coefficient of the I-shape section aluminum alloy axial compression member's calculate formulae is performed.
