According to the present development of supporting construction technology for deep foundation pit, the supporting construction at Ximenkou subway station in Guangzhou No.l Metro line has been analyzed and summarized in this paper. The supporting structure of rectangular artificial cutting pile has been used in the subway station pit, which supplies a gap in the fields of the deep foundation pit construction of the subway and the construction technological process of which has been summarized. Two types of prestressed anchor stay(184Φ5) and steel pipe support ( Φ 600) are used for structural support with good results achieved. As for the choice of the supporting system of the deep foundation pit of the subway, it is suggested that both feasible and economical supporting modes be chosen and adjusted to the local conditions. The paper also presents the direction of the development of deep foundation pit construction, while analyzing and summarizing the ways concerning the construction and application of several supporting modes including artificial rectangle cutting piles, prestressed anchor stays and steel pipe supporting, which can be used in the similar engineering construction.
